Kirodi Lal Meena, born on November 3, 1951, is an Indian politician and prominent figure in the farming community. At present, he is the cabinet minister of agriculture and horticulture department. As well as the rural development department of the Rajasthan government from the Sawai Madhopur assembly seat in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
He has a deep involvement in politics which dates back to the early days. When he was a member of several legislative bodies like the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and the Lok Sabha. He is widely referred to as Kirodi Baba in East Rajasthan. KL Meena has been a party member of Bharatiya Janata Party for years. Except for a brief period when he left the party in 2008 and rejoined it in 2018. This was no simple feat as he became the first and, at the time, the only independent MP from Rajasthan in the Lok Sabha elections in 2009.
